Poppies3

Poppy induced dreams.

My Poppies are made my the lovely and talented Rebekah at Forgotten Stitches.

Sometimes I think that her and I share the same brain.

Look at how beautifully dressed they came in the post and visit her shop to swoon over more gorgeous items. I am a little in love with Dolores Darling.

I am wearing:

Red Felt Poppies: Forgotten Stitches
1920's buckle worn in my hair: Carboot find
Green 1950's jacket: Beyond Retro
1930's Silk Velvet and Satin Cape: Beyond Retro

All photo's taken by Craig Bowers

Hope you all have a lovely week.
Kelly-Marie xx

    1. No it's one thats very similar on a 1910's postcard album. It looks so much like her prints, I love her work too.

    2. Thanks for all your lovely comments on my posts. My work is going... okay... I've now put myself on a strict Sunday-only diet of blogs for the foreseeable future - hopefully that will make me more productive!

  5. I had to laugh when I scrolled down and saw you posted a clip from The Wizard of Oz because that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw your post title on tumblr! Does your love of poppies come from WoO too? They are so pretty and so are your felt ones, I love the fox brooch in the shop too.

You look like you could be an inhabitant of Oz in your cape and green collar! I cannot believe you found your pretty buckle in a carboot sale??!

Also you are an absolute stunner Kelly-Marie! I've said it before and I'll say it again, so so beautiful.

Hope you've had a good Monday!

    1. Ha ha Emma I KNEW you would love my OZ reference! Yes my love of poppies comes from a combination of the WoO and Mucha girls ( because my favourite lady of his has poppies in her hair).
I know, I couldn't believe it when I found that buckle either, it was super cheap too.
Aww Emma thank you so much, you are far too kind. Thank you for your lovely comments as always. xxx

  11. You make me regret cutting my hair off and I've been so happy with it until now. You look so lovely and those poppies are just plain gorgeous. Vivienne Westwood made a comment the other day about how fashion is no longer making people look gorgeous and that there's no room for individuality. I think she'd reconsider her statement if she visited your blog. You're divinely unique and gorgeous. Looking forward to your next post.

    1. What a lovely comment! thank you so much. Well I think thats so sad that Lady Viv feels that way, I don't believe that's true at all. I think that there are so many amazingly individual people out there, yes they may be inspired by many other things, especially from the past but they create a look that's a juxtaposition that in it's self is a creative and individual look.
