As my Instagram followers will know we had a very beautiful (almost ethereal) Lion Head Rabbit called Harlequin. We sadly lost him recently to that big Bunny warren in the sky, he really was such a special guy and we like to think he is now happy and reunited with his one true love.

Small animals are such heart breakers and we vowed never to put ourselves through it again. That is until we met Rosie, a giant French Lop in desperate need of a new home. She helped us and we helped her and I definitely think that Harli would approve, she is very happy.

So this post is dedicated to Harlequin, to Rosie and to all you fellow Bunny owners out there. As my friend Ava once said, Rabbits have a very special way of getting a hold of your heart.

Sunday love to you

  1. Oh no, I'm so sorry about Harlequin!! What a handsome bunny! I had four Dutch dwarf rabbits as a girl; they really are such sweet, gentle companions. Hope Rosie helps mend your hearts soon <3

  2. 'Small animals are such heart breakers and we vowed never to put ourselves through it again' - so true, but there are so many of them out there needing a good home, we can help them and they definitely help us. My kindest thoughts to you and little Harlequin, he will remain forever in your hearts.
