Press: The Barry M Style files with The Broken Hearts and Cosmo

Here I am being interviewed by the lovely Broken Hearts as part of their Barry M Style Files for Cosmopolitan UK.

The series of films show the DJ duo meeting some of the UK's 'most exciting places and faces', with Barry M manicures to match.

You can see me getting my nails done in the classic 1920's Half Moon style, and because they are Barry M nail products they are completely animal friendly (a must in my book).

Whilst getting pampered inside the Beyond Retro cafe I chat about my prop work and show case one of my hand made headdresses, which will be coming to my Etsy shop.

The Barry M style files will be launched every Friday on the Cosmo UK website. Head on over there  to see the first in the series featuring the beautiful presenter duo themselves.

I would like to say a special thanks to The Broken Hearts, Barry M and Beyond Retro for giving me the opportunity to be involved in such an exciting project.

    1. Aww thank you Emma, although my accent is nothing on your beautiful one. I hope you are well too darling. I'm eager to come over and have a good old catch up on your side soon. My life has been completely hectic recently and doesn't leave much time for regular blog reading any more. :-( I always love coming over to catch up and have a read of your lovely blog, hopefully one day we can catch up in person. xxxx

    1. Thank you darling. Hehe knew you would like the poodles, I sadly had to leave them at Beyond Retro but thinking of setting up a business making only giant animals, poodles will be the top seller I know it. ;-) Hehe. xxx

  10. Yay what a great video, you come across beautifully, and looking so glamorous as usual! I'm sorry not to have seen you comment on my blog for a while, the latest one you might like as I'm wearing my 30s russet velvet evening gown and heirloom satin buckle shoes which I can't date, might be 1930s but maybe 1910ish or even earlier? As you're so knowledgeable about vintage fashion you might be able to tell me, please do pop by and let me know what you think if you get the time....

    1. Emalina! I am so sorry I have not been over your neck of the woods. As I was telling Emma above I have been so busy recently and regular blog reading has sadly become a thing of the past. My life has been so differnt since we moved, for the better but it has just meant that other things have become priority. I really miss reading all your lovely blogs, so I'm going to make that all change soon. xxx

    2. Don't you worry sweetheart, I was just dying to know what you thought of my outfit as I love your own styling so much! And particularly what you thought of those shoes in terms of fixing their date - thanks so much for your comment about it on my post, so kind of you. The shoes have a very low heel and no label inside, which along with the fabric and buckle makes me think they must be pretty ancient. I will take some more photos of them sometime and ask your advice. But it doesn't really matter, I wouldn't have the heart to ever sell them as they remind me so much of granny Kiki! But I may pick you brains in the future about setting up an ebay or etsy store as you have created such a beautiful one yourself, as there are some very vintage pieces that don't wish to keep (or maybe you might be interested in purchasing them? Will keep you posted). I'm so glad life is different for the better, and all's going well for you as a newly moved in fellow country girl :) Can't wait to see your home when it's finished! xx
