Remember I was telling you about some of my dreams came true. Well this was one of them.
Waltz Darling
Houghton Hall, Yorkshire
Love Magazine AW 2012
Photography: Tim Walker ~ Fashion Editor: Katie Grand ~ Set Design: Rhea Thierstein
Models: Lady Rose Hanbury ~Lady Elizabeth Longman ~ Kate Moss ~Marlon Richardson
I had the great pleasure of helping Rhea Thierstein make props for this shoot with Tim Walker.
As you all probably know I am a great fan of both their work, especially the work they do together.
So this really was a dream come true for me
.
Amongst other things I was doing a lot of plaster casting, painting giant frames and meeting some very lovely people.
Speacial Thanks to Rhea, Sophie and Lucy for giving me this amazing opportunity.
You all need to go out and buy this issue of Love.
The Waltz Darling spread holds some wonderful historical information and the magazine includes this beautiful shoot with the Downtown Abbey girls, who also grace three different covers ( I got the Lady Sybil).
Money very well spent.
Congratulations! That's such good news.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I literally saw Love magazine in a shop in Dublin today (the Jessica what's her name one) and I was like oh what's that because I've never seen it before but I was shopping for ingredients for dinner and didn't have any free hands to look at it! I'm going to buy it tomorrow now though! Also my sister just finished Downton Abbey and is insisting I watch it so I will have to do that too! I am so happy for you Kelly-Marie! You are so talented at what you do and your hard work and passion keeps paying off! I really hope you get more opportunities like this, your love for it really comes across! The photos are stunning, the sets are just so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about getting into set design for film/tv? I know some people who do it and I can really see you doing something like that!
Hope you're doing well and having a great week!

These pictures are stunning and uncomfortable at the same time. I always look at your blog and am in awe at the gorgeous art you post and where the hell you find it all. So thanks for compiling some beautiful stuff!

ReplyDeleteWhat a resplendently lovely experience for you - happiest congrats, my dear.
ReplyDeleteIt's odd you know, when I see them in magazines, I very rarely feel like I connect with fashion spreads, but when they're online - and are as stunning as these - I'm inspired and enthralled through and through.
