An Immaculate Tale

The Bright Young People2 One of my favourite Tim Walker shoots (although I could probably say that about all of them!)

Based on Pictures of The Bright Young People preparing for a costume party taken by Cecil Beaton. Cecil is also a hero of mine and those particular images (including the one above) are among my favourites. Perhaps that's why An Immaculate Tale resonates with me so much, and I too long to sleep in a giant shell bed on the pond overlooking a house like that...One day maybe.

HMS Voyager

HMS7
Recently I said goodbye one of my most special people, to the magical adventures awaiting her overseas. Do you remember me telling you about Hannah? Aside from her being one of my dearest friend she is also one of the most inspiring people I know and this post is dedicated to her and her blog...

When Hannah has a dream she makes it happen, she doesn't just talk about it she does it. She has just finished hiking in the Himalaya's and is now about to travel across India which has pretty much become her second home.

Her blog, over time has also become a very beautiful love story. Last year she left us for the first time on a three month adventure across Asia, she came back with the love of her life, her B.H Wolf.
They are now travelling together and her story has become their story.

In July Hannah returned to us for a fleeting visit and an Indian themed BBQ held in her honor by the lovely Natalie.

Here I join the lovely Madeleine, Louise and Natalie.

Hannah is doing something I'm sure we have all dreamt of (Craig and I dream of it daily) and she makes it look so easy. Reading her blog makes me more than ever want to actually start doing it, living the life you dream of, making it happen.

It's probably best to read about it in her own words here but Hannah's blog is the best place for those of you who have thought about travelling and want to know how to start planning, want some inspiration, some honest advice, tips and a place to get wisked away for five minutes. Not to mention that you will get to know a very special lady.

Love Magazine AW 2012
Photography: Tim Walker ~ Fashion Editor: Katie Grand ~ Set Design: Rhea Thierstein
Models: Lady Rose Hanbury ~Lady Elizabeth Longman ~ Kate Moss ~Marlon Richardson

I had the great pleasure of helping Rhea Thierstein make props for this shoot with Tim Walker
As you all probably know I am a great fan of both their work, especially the work they do together.
So this really was a dream come true for me
Amongst other things I was doing a lot of plaster casting, painting giant frames and meeting some very lovely people.

Speacial Thanks to Rhea, Sophie and Lucy for giving me this amazing opportunity.

You all need to go out and buy this issue of Love
The Waltz Darling spread holds some wonderful historical information and the magazine includes this beautiful shoot with the Downtown Abbey girls, who also grace three different covers ( I got the Lady Sybil).

Money very well spent.

Saga Sig: Salve Regina

Saga Sig1

Saga Sig2

I don't think I really need to explain why I love these photo's so much! I could quite literally live in them.

They are the work of Icelandic photographer Saga Sig. I'm sure that some of you will already be familiar with her blog The Never Ending Story.
Her photography holds so much beauty and atmostphere and the more I read about her the more I have become fascinated by the history and inspiration behind her work.

' My roots can be identified in my photography, the mystique, the love of nature, the love of storytelling and the fairytale themes. When you grow up in the country side of Iceland it is difficult not to see ghosts or feel the energy of nature and the mystique in the air.'

A girl after my own heart for sure. You can read more from that interview here.

Saga and her boyfriend were photographed by Tim Walker for the same W magazine 'The East Enders' photo shoot as Craig and I.

We didn't make the cut (wah!) but I do have poloroids given to us by Tim himself so expect to see them in a post to come.

These are their lovely photo's, isn't she beautiful! She reminds me of the Moon child (style icon) in The Never Ending story, perhaps that's where her blog name came from.

If you want to see more of Saga's work you can find her in all of these places:
